French, an experienced chemist with a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, joins Xampla to lead it through the next phase of growth.
French brings extensive experience after 25 years at specialty chemicals company, Johnson Matthey, where she held a variety of senior leadership, commercial, operation and technical roles, and her most recent role leading operations at AIM listed company, Titon, across the UK, Europe, the U.S., and South Korea.
French will spearhead Xampla as the business scales up operations and partnerships with leading brands and manufacturers.
Last month, Xampla launched Morro after consumer insights revealed that more than half of the UK public see plastic as a ‘material of the ‘past’ and three quarters would prefer their products in natural sustainable packaging rather than plastic.
Alexandra French, CEO of Xampla said: “I am really excited to be joining such an inspiring company, with a compelling mission, groundbreaking technology, a fabulous team and company values that are completely aligned with my own.
